Auckland House Day Nursery

Nurturing a lifelong love of learning

At Auckland House Day Nursery, we create a nurturing, inspiring environment where every child can learn, enjoy and flourish. From the moment they arrive, children are welcomed into a safe and stimulating space that supports their early development. Our thoughtfully designed curriculum, caring staff and family atmosphere ensure your child receives the very best start in life — preparing them with confidence, independence and a love of learning that lasts.

Auckland House Day Nursery is proud to have received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted, reflecting our commitment to quality early years education and care.

Our approach to learning

At the heart of Auckland House is our bespoke Learn, Enjoy and Flourish curriculum, tailored to meet every child's individual needs.

Learn: Weekly nursery rhymes and a monthly "Book of the Month" help develop language, literacy and a love of stories.

Enjoy: Through songs, play, and creative exploration, children build key skills while having fun every day.

Flourish: We celebrate each child’s strengths and achievements, ensuring they are supported academically, socially, and emotionally.

We also embrace cultural celebrations throughout the year, helping to develop children’s global understanding and empathy. Parents are kept fully informed of their child’s journey via our secure ParentZone platform — sharing updates, menus, activities and milestones.

Classrooms

Our classrooms: a space for every stage

Daisies (0–18 months)

Our calm and nurturing baby room provides a safe environment for our youngest children to explore through sensory play and close interactions with caring staff.

Buttercups (18–24 months)

As toddlers begin to find their feet, the Buttercups room offers a stimulating setting where language, movement and curiosity are encouraged through play and discovery.

Tulips (2–3 years)

Here, children develop their independence, confidence and communication through structured activities, storytelling, creative arts and early maths concepts.

Sunflowers (3–5 years)

Our Sunflowers room prepares children for the next step in their education, with a strong focus on early phonics, numeracy and social skills — all delivered in a playful, supportive environment.

Policies and parent information

We understand that choosing a nursery is a big decision. That's why we provide full transparency on all aspects of care, learning and safeguarding. You can find full copies of our nursery policies, information factsheets, and frequently asked questions through our Parent Information Hub.

Nutrition and food menus

Healthy eating is an important part of life at Auckland House. Children enjoy nutritious, freshly prepared meals and snacks throughout the day, tailored to their age and dietary requirements and prepared by our in-house team. Our menus are rotated seasonally to ensure variety and are shared with parents weekly through ParentZone.

Our daily routines, curriculum and assessment

Routines

Our carefully planned routines create a sense of security, including free play, structured activities, outdoor exploration and quiet time for rest or reflection.

Curriculum

Every aspect of our day links to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework — focusing on Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design.

Assessment

Staff carry out regular observations and assessments, tracking each child’s progress and planning next steps to ensure continuous, personalised development. Parents receive regular updates and are encouraged to be active partners in their child's learning journey.

Nursery fees

We believe in offering outstanding childcare at accessible rates for local families. Our fees are fully inclusive of all food and drink for the babies and children in our care.
